Each year on the weekend closest to Gene Autry's birthday, September 29, the Gene Autry Oklahoma Museum celebrates the legacy of the singing cowboys with its Film & Music Festival. It's a gathering of cowboy and country singers, cowboy poets and storytellers, Western film stars and look-alikes...and lots of folks who love all this music, poetry, reminiscing, fun and foolishness. And you're invited to the party!
The 2008 edition of this exciting event features hit-maker Gene Watson & his band, "Farewell Party," Oklahoma  Balladeer Les Gilliam & his Silver Lake Band, Canada's Cowgirl Eli Barsi, singer and songwriter Terry Smith, Judy Coder & Pride of the Prairie and many more first class entertainers yet to be confirmed.
